In the 2021, Burberry asked us to create a TikTok-first partnership campaign that captured Gen-Z's creativity in relationship to the outdoors and being isolated at home.
It was a period where being stuck indoors was the norm and travel had been inhibited; the power of nature became all the more effervescent. Whether in the uptick in wild swimming, exploring our local areas, or planning future trips in wildernesses yet unknown, our relationship to nature became a potent salve in an uncertain world...
Inspired by Burberry’s woodland fantasy-esque SS21 collection, the Burberry x Dazed Nature Tapes campaign sees TikTok creators explore their local outdoors and embrace their inner ‘Attenborough’.
‘Nature Tapes’ highlights how connecting with nature can be as simple as stepping out of your front door and appreciating the landscapes and thriving ecosystems around you, with each creator being briefed to style out their own take on the classic nature doc.
The videos have been shot everywhere from the resplendent waterfalls of Griffin, Georgia, to the imposing cliffs of upstate Ontario, outer California’s expansive forest terrains, to the streets of LA and inner city New York.
